Rivers and basins

The thread of water from Bronchales

Follow these watercourses towards their confluences, villages, and basin history.

A river with multiple names

The Fuente del Canto spring marks the start for following the Hoz Seca. In the upper reaches it is called the Puerto river; further downstream it appears as Hoceseca and Oceseca. All lead to the same junction with the Tagus, at Las Juntas.

Shared pine forests and trails

The woodlands of Bronchales connect with Orihuela del Tremedal and the tracks that cross the mountain range. Municipal sources place El Canto within that network of passes. Following them reveals the landscape through relations between villages.

From here, shepherd memories and seasonal mountain tasks open a regional view of pastures, forest, and winters. The river connection continues towards Checa and the canyon in the headwaters of Albarracín.
