Peña del Ceñajo: a climbing route with a legend
Peña del Ceñajo is a limestone monolith beside Peña Horadada, on the opposite bank of the Tagus near Fuente de las Tobas, accessible only to experienced climbers. Its demanding route holds a curiosity: a long piton became wedged in the rock, and climbers say whoever pulls it out will be «king of the pitch».

Climbers only
These vertical crags are only accessible with climbing gear, and the route up Ceñajo is very demanding. Always respect seasonal climbing restrictions set by the Park to protect nesting cliff raptors.
The sword in the stone
A long piton became wedged tight in the crack. Like the tale of the sword in the stone, climbers say whoever manages to pull it free will be king of the pitch. It rises right beside Peña Horadada.
