A limestone honeycomb

The limestone of this high tableland dissolves readily in rainwater, creating an intense karst landscape riddled with chasms everywhere: the highest density in Spain, many still unexplored. For this reason, it is common to come across speleologists.

Caution

Walk along established trails: chasm openings can hide among the vegetation. In the area is the Torreta shelter. It is in Valsalobre.
