Puente de Tagüenza: the old crossing between Huertapelayo and Huertahernando
The Tagüenza bridge is a small, slender crossing over the Tagus in Huertapelayo, nestled in a deep rock gorge. For centuries it formed part of the bridle path connecting Huertapelayo and Armallones with Ocentejo, Huertahernando, and Buenafuente del Sistal. Its reflection in the water is one of the most photographed in the Park.

Small and vital
The gorge where it sits has deep, sheer rock walls, impossible to cross without a bridge. That is why, despite its modest size, it was for centuries essential along the packhorse trail connecting Huertapelayo and Armallones with Ocentejo, Huertahernando, and Buenafuente del Sistal.
Take your time
It lies in a semi-wild setting, ideal for anyone seeking quiet. The height of the canyon walls makes the arch appear even more slender, and its reflection in the pool below is striking. Reached on foot from Huertapelayo.
