GR-10 (E7) through the Alto Tajo: the Valencia to Lisbon trail
The GR-10 crosses the Iberian Peninsula from Puçol (Valencia) to Lisbon across nearly 1,600 km as part of the European E7 trail. In the Alto Tajo Natural Park it covers around 130 km, with stages 18 to 24 from Orihuela del Tremedal to Cifuentes totaling 157 km.

A link between protected parks
In Guadalajara, the GR-10 connects three major protected areas: after the Alto Tajo it heads from Cifuentes towards the Barranco del Río Dulce and, through the Henares valley and Cogolludo, into the Sierra Norte. Along the way it visits Orea, Chequilla, Peralejos, Villar de Cobeta, and Huertapelayo.
Trekking regulations
Overnight stays in the Natural Park are permitted only under trekking conditions. Plan your daily stages around shelters and villages, and respect access restrictions for nesting raptors in canyon sectors.
Before you set out
Carry water, mountain footwear, and download the GPS track in advance: mobile reception is absent in many areas. Check the forecast on Today in the Alto Tajo and the official trail sheet for notices and closures, and respect seasonal restrictions during raptor breeding periods.
